The South India region is
adequately surrounded by two mountain ranges, the Western and
Eastern Ghats, and is also covered by the Bay of Bengal in the
east, the Arabian Sea in the west, the Indian Ocean in the south
and has the Godavari, Krishna, Tungabhadra and Kaveri rivers.
Moreover, The South India occupying 19.31% of India's area and
encompassing Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu as
well as the union territories of Lakshadweep and Pondicherry. As
we know that South region is full of cultural values and is
imbibed by diverse languages, festivals and heritage richness.
